Construction Cleaning Checklist
Squeaky Kleaners construction cleaning is designed for new builds and renovations. It focuses on removing dust, debris, and building residue to prepare the site for handover.
🧱 Site Preparation & Safety
- Confirm site is safe to enter and work areas are accessible
- Check power and water availability (if required)
- Identify delicate surfaces requiring special care
- Remove loose building dust from main areas (first pass)
- Collect and bag light debris as per scope
🪟 Windows, Frames & Glass (Internal)
- Clean internal window glass
- Wipe window frames and sills
- Clean tracks (where accessible)
- Remove stickers/tape residue where possible (standard level)
- Wipe internal glass doors and partitions
🚪 Doors, Skirtings & Surfaces
- Wipe doors, door frames, and handles
- Wipe skirting boards and edges
- Clean switches and power points (surface wipe)
- Remove dust from ledges and reachable surfaces
- Spot clean visible marks where possible
🍽 Kitchen & Joinery
- Wipe and clean benchtops and splashbacks
- Clean sink and tapware; polish finish
- Clean cabinet fronts and handles
- Clean inside cabinets and drawers (if empty and included)
- Wipe exterior of appliances (if installed)
- Remove dust from kickboards and lower areas
🛁 Bathrooms & Laundry
- Clean basins and polish tapware
- Clean toilets and surrounding area (final handover standard)
- Clean shower screens and mirrors
- Wipe vanity fronts, handles, and surfaces
- Wipe tiles and remove dust/build residue (surface level)
- Mop floors
🧹 Floors (All Areas)
- Vacuum all floors to remove dust and debris
- Mop hard floors to improve finish
- Detailed attention to corners and edges (accessible)
- Clean skirting line dust after floors are done (final pass)
🧺 Bedrooms, Living & Common Areas
- Dust and wipe reachable surfaces
- Wipe wardrobes/built-in fronts and handles
- Clean internal mirrors and glass
- Clean internal windows, sills, and tracks (if included)
- Vacuum floors and mop hard surfaces
🗑 Waste & Debris Handling
- Collect light building debris as per scope
- Bag and place waste in allocated area on-site
- Remove dust from common walkways (final check)
- Report any leftover building materials or hazards noticed
📌 Service Notes
- Construction cleaning is delivered based on agreed scope and site condition
- Best results occur when all trades have finished work before cleaning
- Some residue (paint, cement, silicone, adhesives) may require specialist add-ons
- High-reach areas above 2.4 m are excluded unless safely accessible and approved
- GST (10%) applies unless otherwise stated

To ensure safety, fairness, and compliance with industry standards, the following tasks are not included in our standard Construction Cleaning service. Some items may be added as optional extras upon request.
⚠️ Hazardous or High-Risk Tasks
- Biohazard cleaning (blood, faeces, needles, bodily fluids)
- Active construction areas with ongoing trades working
- Work at height beyond safe access (over 2.4 m)
- Hazardous chemical spills or industrial waste
- Any task that may damage new finishes or surfaces
🧱 Specialised Building Residue Not Included
- Concrete/cement removal requiring specialist treatment
- Heavy grout haze removal or restoration-level detailing
- Silicone or grout restoration
- Hard mineral deposit removal
- Major mould remediation
📌 Other Exclusions
- Skip hire, council disposal, or bulk rubble removal
- Moving heavy appliances or fixed equipment
- Cleaning behind installed cabinetry/appliances where not accessible
- Repair work, repainting, or maintenance services

At Squeaky Kleaners, due to Work Health & Safety (WH&S) regulations, liability risks, and property protection, certain tasks listed above cannot be performed. Optional services, where available, may incur additional charges and are subject to inspection and safety approval.
